The second phase of SD59's convention was held virtually on May 2nd.

Attendees voted on the leadership of SD59, electing the SD59 central committee, including the Chairperson, Vice Chair, Outreach and Inclusion Officer, Secretary, Technology Officer, and Treasurer. The 20 directors who also serve on the central committee were also elected.

We are Senate District 59
We are the DFL (Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party) for Senate District 59 (SD59).
​
We represent Democrats living in North Minneapolis, Downtown, and the Nicollet Island/East Bank and Saint Anthony Main neighborhoods on the east side of the Mississippi.
We are a grassroots, all-volunteer organization that works hard to elect Democrats to leadership positions in Minnesota state government and in Washington, D.C.
We want to attract new people to the DFL, build party unity, and energize voters. SD59 provides voter outreach as well as financial and volunteer assistance to DFL endorsed candidates’ campaigns such as fundraising, literature drops, and door knocking.
