With the November 3rd election right around the corner, DFL Senate District 59 is hosting a Candidate Meet and Greet, and you are invited! This is a great chance for you to meet your local DFL candidates for public office, share your thoughts, ask questions, and hear their goals if elected!
Bobby Joe Champion, Esther Agbaje, Cedrick Frazier, and Irene Fernando have confirmed they will be attending!
SD59 strives to make its events accessible as possible, and because of budget limitations, no site is perfect. If you have any needs, please reach out via "Contact us" on this site.
This event is in an ADA accessible building, on the first floor, has several disability parking spaces, has one physically accessible bathroom that is also an all-gender bathroom. We will be using microphones and amplification for sound, and using a large television to display the agenda and reports. The room we are in will be lit with daylight for this afternoon meeting with LED light supplementing as needed.

The Minneapolis Public Schools are hosting meetings about the MPS Transformation Plan regarding school closings. The next meeting will be at:

We are Senate District 59
We are the DFL (Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party) for Senate District 59 (SD59).
We represent Democrats living in North Minneapolis, Downtown, and the Nicollet Island/East Bank and Saint Anthony Main neighborhoods on the east side of the Mississippi.
We are a grassroots, all-volunteer organization that works hard to elect Democrats to leadership positions in Minnesota state government and in Washington, D.C.
We want to attract new people to the DFL, build party unity, and energize voters. SD59 provides voter outreach as well as financial and volunteer assistance to DFL endorsed candidates’ campaigns such as fundraising, literature drops, and door knocking.
