What Is A Precinct Caucus?
A precinct caucus is a gathering of neighbors to discuss issues and organize the local DFL party unit. All parties have their caucuses on the same night, and the next statewide precinct caucus date is February 3, 2026. One of the important tasks at each caucus meeting is the consideration of resolutions to update our party platform. If there is an issue you are passionate about you can propose items for inclusion in the platform. Attendees at the Senate District 59 precinct caucuses will also select people to serve as delegates to the Senate District 59 convention that will be held in March 2026.
